Dr. Sarune Savickaite is an early career researcher specializing in Virtual Reality (VR), immersive education, and cognitive perception, with a focus on neurodiversity and accessibility. She completed her PhD at the University of Glasgow, where her ESRC-funded research, supported by industrial partners, explored how VR can be used to understand perceptual experiences in autism. Sarune has been recognized with several awards, including the Innovation in Pedagogy Award and finalist placement at the Innovate UK Tech Awards. She is actively involved in teaching, presenting, and advancing inclusive education through immersive technologies and is a board member of the ARC XR Operational Board at the University of Glasgow. Her work includes multiple publications on VR in education and autism research, contributing to fields where technology and accessibility intersect.
