I'm Dr. Sarune Savickaite, an early career researcher and associate lecturer with a focus on immersive education, neurodiversity, and cognitive psychology. I completed my PhD at the University of Glasgow, where I explored how Virtual Reality (VR) can help us better understand individual differences in perception, particularly within neurodivergent populations. This work, funded by the ESRC and supported by industry partners, reflects my wider interest in using technology to make education more inclusive and engaging.
My research bridges psychology, technology, and pedagogy, with a strong emphasis on accessibility and applied impact. Whether through teaching, collaboration, or academic writing, I aim to create learning experiences that are both innovative and grounded in real-world needs. I’m particularly passionate about how we can use immersive tools to support diverse learners and challenge conventional approaches to education and cognition.

I am also a trained illustrator and graphic designer and although I do not freelance anymore, I am always interested in all things related to creativity. I am also a budding creative writer, looking to expand into this new frontier soon.
